Genetic Engineering is Creationism’s Doppelganger. Neither trusts that what is does not need, is in fact gravely harmed by, attempts to control it. One does this directly. The other displaces the power onto their Ego’s reflection in a projected sky-god.

Abuse, violence, are features, not bugs. They underlie and best express what we strive after.

The Existentialists had it wrong. Life is not absurd. It is self-righting.

Those who’ve inherited bankruptcy gain nothing by insisting on anything.

All we have is attention. The rest is illusion and self-deception.

Strength resides in a center that is in equilibrium with its envelope.

Illusion is destabilizing. A center that is off-center cannot employ its strength. Its strength dissipates and is lost.

Its (strength’s) absence triggers fears. Their (fear’s) logic further destabilizes. They are illusions.

These are the “Laws of the Wild?”

What we call “wild” knows itself.

This knowing resides in acceptance.

Acceptance as a balancing force. Not what we assume it to mean, as a bending away from what is central. It is a returning to balance. It is equilibrative.

One time, attempting to “save” a stunned Cardinal who had struck a window, I was stunned by its refusal to accept any of my assumptions. This was the first time I was impressed by – not the otherness of the wild – by its centered-ness. I was besides the point. I was extraneous. I was mistaken. Even as it was happening I felt as though I were confronting Ishmael – who I would not “meet” for twenty more years! It felt as if I were before some great non-civilized chief. In fact, it is the character of that little bird, colossal in its own right, that I envision whenever I consider a being free of our twisted conditioning.

Language only works when we cease to be literal.

Clarity is indivisible from mystery.
